When I post jobs with HiringThing, how do candidates find my job?

Once you post a job with HiringThing and your account is approved, we jump into action. We’ll post your job description, with a link to your new HiringThing online application, to multiple job search engines – giving you access to millions of active online job seekers.

We also strongly encourage you to connect their HiringThing account to their corporate website, as a link from your Careers or About section. This helps candidates who are interested in your company quickly learn more about your job opportunities (see below for more about connecting HiringThing to your website.)

Finally, for those hard to fill positions, HiringThing offers a number of paid placement options, easily accessible from within your HiringThing dashboard. With a single click, you can raise the profile of your job online by posting to Craigslist, TalentZoo, StackOverflow and other job boards.

How do I connect HiringThing with my website?

Many companies find that their number one source of candidates is their website, so it’s important to connect your HiringThing account. It’s easy! Most of our customers simply link to their HiringThing URL from their website directly, and then customize HiringThing with a logo, company description and color scheme.

For developers, we’ve also provided an easy to use API that allows you to pull a list of jobs for display on any page. Using the API, you can always be sure your website is up to date with the latest information from your HiringThing account.

We are also working on a new widget that allows you to embed your jobs quickly on any website simply by including a snippet of code. Coming soon! Drop us an email if you’d like to be one of the first to try it out.


Do I have to install software? What kind of IT support will I need?

HiringThing is hosted in the cloud, so you don’t need any servers or IT help to get up and running. Just a modern web browser and an internet connection. For advanced users with IT support available, we offer website customization and integration options to make the most use out of your account.


What kind of reporting is available?

Keeping track of your recruiting process is what HiringThing is all about, so we provide detailed numbers on how well your process is working with Applicant Analytics ™. Our reports include:

  • Applicant volume, overall and by position
  • Source tracking
  • Detailed breakdown of application status
  • EEOC reports

How is my job and applicant information stored? Is it secure?

Ensuring that your data is safe and secure is very important to us. HiringThing is hosted in a scalable and highly secure PCI-compliant datacenter that has been audited under SAS70 Type II. Additionally, our application is 100% SSL encrypted for your company managers and administrators, ensuring your recruiting data is secured in transit at the same industry-standard level as credit card and other financial transactions.

What if I need help getting HiringThing set up? What kind of support is available?

Can I integrate HiringThing with other applications?

Yes! We’ve provide a complete API that allows you to securely access your job and applicant data from other applications across the internet. Don’t have a programmer on your team? We’re happy to provide custom integration services on request.


Is there training available?

Yes. All paid accounts have the option of a free online training session with one of our team members. Simply send an email to support@hiringthing.com to schedule a session.


How do I add additional users to my account?

All HiringThing accounts allow unlimited users, and they’re easy to add when you’re ready. Simply follow these steps:

  • Login to your HiringThing account
  • Click Account Details at the top of the screen
  • Click the Users tab
  • Click the Add a User button
  • Fill out the information for your new user, and click Save Changes
  • Your new user will get an email with their new login information soon.

If I don’t have a credit card, can I pay for my subscription by check?

We do offer our users an option to pay for a HiringThing subscription by check. This option is available with all of our Annual Plans and Quarterly Plans. If you would like to sign up for a subscription plan and pay by check, please let us know by emailing support@hiringthing.com and telling us which plan you would like to sign up for, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Coming soon: We are working to automate this payment option so that users will be able to enter bank account information to pay with their checking account.
